Why innovation is the latest buzzword

Why innovation is the latest buzzword

From the first colour TV broadcast by the BBC in 1968 to the release of the Sony Walkman in 1979 and the Apple iPod in 2001, technology is forever evolving and improving, making our lives easier, more responsive and faster than ever before. We now live in a 24/7 global society where our devices sync automatically, our documents live on a cloud and we can access our emails at any time, anywhere in the world.

Albert Einstein famously said; “The human spirit must prevail over technology”, but one thing is for sure, technology won’t stop progressing. So in this blog we take a look at some of the new tech products we’re all falling in love with, whether they improve our work life, health or are just great fun.

Power banks

There’s nothing more frustrating than when a phone, tablet or laptop runs out of battery and inevitably this happens at the worst possible time. So it’s no surprise that power banks have gained traction. From charging packs to portable wifi devices, on-the-move technology that conveniently fits in a handbag, briefcase or glove compartment makes our lives so much easier and means that our access to everyday technology keeps going.

Drones

Have you ever walked in to a hotel, restaurant or even someone’s house and noticed a beautiful aerial shot of where they are? Access to technology that delivers this style of photography is now readily available for all of us to explore with a drone. It’s not the cheapest technology around but it’s certainly increasing in popularity. Just remember to check height restrictions if you live near an airport!

Healthy watches

Activity trackers are great gadgets to support a fit and healthy lifestyle. They monitor many different criteria about our fitness levels and exercise including the number of steps we’re taking as well as our heart rate. Some even boast built-in GPS devices, water resistance to 50m or more, and heart rate sensors. They can even link seamlessly with our phones, tablets and laptops - perfect if you want to monitor your sporting prowess and emails at the same time!

We’re all watching this space to see what gadget and gizmo comes on to the market next, but in the meantime sign up below to receive our quarterly round-up of our latest product ideas and suggestions.
